About Us

In June 2024 Nik Pejnovic and Louise Lonergan whilst in Croatia founded the Mixed Basketball Association. There were other basketball groups in Dublin but the two passionate basketball players wanted to bring a fun social league to Dublin, but of course with competition! Both enjoyed playing mixed basketball and they could see that there was so many diverse cultures and people all wanting to do the same thing, connect, make friends and play basketball!

Playing mixed brings a new set of challenges to both sexes but with two females to be on the court at all times it ensures that the ladies are very important part of the team.

Any non profit could not run without our amazing friends and volunteers that help in all types of ways. Julien Celin Helps with all things online, from branding to website design and updating scoresheets etc. Nerea Rodriguez Pares is our social media whiz kid and Rachael O’Halloran is our court coordinator for the games all that stressful job entails. Kos Lihacovs was a tremendous help to us for season one also. 

Our vision is that this league continues to grows, whilst keeping its friendly charm! Also that Basketball is a sport we can all continue to play together into our later years!
